CITB HS&E Test

If you work on or regularly visit construction sites you need a CSCS Card*.

If you work on or regularly visit construction sites you need a CSCS Card*. The Construction Skills Certification Scheme, which is recognised across the country, provides proof that individuals working in the industry have achieved or committed to achieving the required qualification.

To apply for a card you must have, in the majority of cases, passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test within the previous two years as well as having the relevant qualifications. The exact test you take and the qualifications you need will depend on the job that you do and the type of card you are applying for.

For an explanation of cards click view cards below.

The CITB Health, Safety & Environmental Test checks your knowledge across a wide range of areas, all of which are covered in the CITB Health & Safety Awareness Course, and aims to improve safety and productivity on site.

*Electricians use the ECS Card
